English Bonanza

"An actively involved parent is often the key to a child's significant progress." The main goal of organizing the English Bonanza for our primary parents was to give them a hands-on experience of the teaching-learning methodology used at BVRTSE. We observed a brief glimpse of the paradigm shift in pedagogy over the past few decades. Parental involvement in educational activities can greatly enhance children's learning experiences. We engaged our Grade I parents in the creation of non-fiction texts, information leaflets, and travel brochures. Our Grade III parents were engaged in activities that focused on plot mountain/story mountain. Our Grade V parents learnt about the essential elements of report writing.

These practical activities enriched the educational content, empowered parents to improve their skills, and fostered a collaborative and supportive learning environment. This event aims to increase and strengthen parents' understanding of the teaching methodology, ultimately promoting each student's holistic academic development.

Biology Activity-

Biology Activity- Grade 6 students have been investigating the structure of plant cells. In order to enhance their understanding of this concept, they endeavored to construct a plant cell model utilizing common household materials. Collaborating in groups, they deliberated on which materials would most accurately represent the organelles within a plant cell. Their efforts resulted in captivating and innovative representations within their models.

Field Trip Report- VII

Field Trip Report and Pictures- Field trips are valuable experiences that allow learners, to learn outside of the traditional classroom environment. Through field trips, learners can gain practical, real-world knowledge that complements and enhances what they learn through books and lectures. Field trips provide a hands-on approach to learning, encouraging the development of critical thinking skills, the ability to make connections between theory and practice, and a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, field trips offer opportunities for social interaction, team-building, and personal growth. Overall, field trips are essential for offering a holistic development and comprehensive educational experience. This year BVRTSE provided the opportunity to Grade 7 learners to visit Mittal Farms.

Field Trip Report-

Field Trip Report- On 10.07.24, our Grade VI class visited the RK Laxman Museum in Balewadi, Pune. We explored the vast collection of cartoons, sketches, and personal belongings of the legendary cartoonist – R.K Laxman. The museum showcased his journey from childhood to becoming a renowned artist. We enjoyed the interactive exhibits and learned about the art of cartooning. We also watched two informative videos - one on 'Malgudi Days' and another on his personal life, which gave us a glimpse into his inspirations and creative process. This trip inspired us to explore our own creativity and appreciate the art of cartooning.

“Exploration is the essence of education.”- VIII

“Exploration is the essence of education.”- Our Grade VIII learners recently embarked on an educational field trip to Katraj Dairy. This trip was organized to provide the learners with a practical understanding of dairy farming, milk production, and the role of cooperatives in the dairy industry. Upon arrival, learners were greeted by knowledgeable guides who led them through the various sections of the dairy. They began with a visit to steam generating section where they were enlightened as to how the steam is generated using cow dung cakes and not a single use of gas or artificial energy to produce milk products. Next, they visited the milk processing unit, where raw milk is processed, pasteurized, and packaged for distribution. Learners were fascinated to see the large machines in action and understand the steps involved in turning raw milk into consumable products.
