The Cambridge pathway at BVRTSE is divided into following stages:
  • Cambridge Primary (CP)
  • Secondary/ IGCSE
  • Lower Secondary/ Checkpoint
  • Cambridge International A Levels

The CP curriculum of BVRTSE is based on the ideas, theories and practices that are prevalent internationally. It is a comprehensive provision for teaching, learning and assessing in the core subjects for children aged between 5 to 11 years.

The Primary programme covers the core subjects of English, Math and Science, developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy and scientific enquiry. This programme also covers a good knowledge base, giving students a larger platform for growth and learning in subjects such as Cambridge Global Perspectives, Computer Science. The curriculum is flexible with clear learning objectives. It develops young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.

Cambridge Primary Checkpoint tests have been designed to assess learners at the end of Cambridge Primary. They are available in English, Mathematics, Science and Cambridge Global Perspectives. The tests give valuable feedback on learners’ strengths and weaknesses before they progress to the next stage of education.

The tests are marked in Cambridge and provide schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance.

Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. It gives schools a flexible framework for developing skills and understanding in English as a first language, Mathematics, Science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and Computer Science.

Cambridge Lower Secondary sets clear learning objectives for the first three years of secondary education in English as a first language, Mathematics, Science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and Computer Science.

Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint tests have been designed to assess learners at the end of Cambridge Lower Secondary. They are available in English, Mathematics, Science and Cambridge Global Perspectives, and give valuable feedback on learners’ strengths and weaknesses before they progress to the next stage of education.

The tests in core subjects are marked in Cambridge and provide schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance. Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Global Perspectives is assessed by teachers and externally moderated by Cambridge International.

Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success.

IGCSE develops students' skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, and gives them excellent preparation for the next stage in their education.

We at BVRTSE will offer a combination of subjects catering to the Science and Commerce streams for this level. Each subject is certificated separately, offering a variety of routes for learners of different abilities.
It is used as a preparation for:

Schools worldwide have been involved in the development of Cambridge IGCSE. The syllabuses are international in outlook, but retain a local relevance. They have been created specifically for an international student body and avoid cultural bias.
