First Day at School / Meet and Greet

BVRTSE commenced its new academic year on June 19, 2024. The learners relived the moments of bonding, as the staff members welcomed them with open arms, open hearts, and open minds. As the learners stepped inside the aesthetically renovated spaces, they were mesmerized by the bright, beautiful and spacious redecorated building. The start of a new school year is often a mix of excitement and nervousness for both learners and teachers. This blend of emotions creates a unique atmosphere, as both learners and teachers embark on the journey together. Once in their classrooms, learners participated in various icebreaker games. T

hese included “Two Truths and a Lie”, “Craft a class contract,” and “Know your peers” which encouraged learners to interact and learn interesting facts about their classmates. Throughout the day, these activities helped break the ice and fostered a sense of camaraderie. Before dismissal, learners were given a few moments to reflect on their day. This reflection helped solidify the positive experiences of the day. As a parting gesture, each student received a takeaway which included “Welcome notes”, “Bag tags” and “Bookmarks”. This thoughtful touch ensured that students felt valued and motivated for the days ahead. Overall, the first day of school was a resounding success. The carefully planned activities and the enthusiastic participation of both learners and staff created a welcoming environment that set the tone for a positive and productive school year.

Environment Day

In celebration of Environment Day at BVRTSE, an enlightening workshop was conducted by Mr. Chaitanya Vikas on the scenic Pashan Hill, specifically designed for primary learners. Around 2014, Mr. Vikas got involved with the local citizen movement in Pashan, Pune, that was aimed at mitigating climate change. Through story-telling and interactive learning, Mr. Vikas instilled a sense of environmental stewardship in the learners, nurturing a generation that values and protects our planet. This immersive experience aimed to foster a deep appreciation for the environment and impart essential knowledge about conservation to young minds.

Another day at school, in continuation to celebrating Environment Day, the learners were enthusiastically involved in Environment Day activities, which included creating posters and slogans that were vibrant and thought-provoking. Learners created art projects using recycled materials, showcasing their creativity and commitment to sustainability.
