Literary Week

Literary Week is far more than just a fun week of reading and stories. It's a strategic and enriching opportunity to lay the foundation for a lifelong love for reading and literacy.
Story Time with Furry Friends
Our Pre-Primary students embarked on a heartwarming journey with their "Furry Friends"! With cozy corners and cuddly friends, our story time with Furry Friends brought tales to life. Children laughed, listened and shared stories with their favorite soft toys. This personal touch fostered a sense of comfort and security, drawing them deeper into the world of the story. The new library Reading Nook was transformed into cozy reading nook. It became a magical place where imaginations soared as children sat to listen to the read aloud story session by teachers from Big Reader Books.
Puppet Show Story
With captivating voices and playful sound effects the stories came to life. Ms. Jhanvi a story teller did a Puppet Show on Elephant and the Balloon sparking children's imaginations. Children got to answer questions about the story characters as they sat to listen the story attentively.

Character Parade
Students transformed into their beloved story characters and did a parade with their peers showing off their attire. Their voices filled with confidence as they said special dialogues to represent the character.
Drop Everything And Read - D.E.A.R Time for Parent Volunteers:
Every week there were parent volunteers and readers who came in dressed with props to read out and enact stories for students.
Visit to the library
Students visited the library to see their new library, they walked around to get a glance and got an opportunity to pick and choose a book to read. They explored the collection of books and picked their favorites. Sharing stories fosters empathy, collaboration skills, and social awareness. Literary Week encouraged a love for storytelling, strengthened children's vocabulary and communication skills. Witnessing the joy on their faces as they snuggled with their soft toys, read books in the library, paraded in story characters and Mystery Readers taking them into the world of stories was truly heartwarming.
