Field trip to art studio

Field Trip to Art Studio: It was a splendid experience to go for our very first field trip of the AY session 23-24 to the Art Spot, Wakad - Art Studio. BVRTSE students were engrossed to paint their own personalised canvas using dual colour dabbing. While some were engaged in painting others were busy in Zumba and then they swapped to ensure each one got both experiences.By listening carefully, paying attention and following instruction was visible as they grooved to zumba. Students created an artwork on a blank canvas to make something by taking decisions along the way honing their problem solving skills. With their growing observation skills they learnt to observe, understand and apply their art techniques.It was an environment conducive to self-expression;judgment-free, creative, and supportive. BVRTSE students thoroughly enjoyed creating their own masterpieces!

Grandparents Day Write Up

Grandparents Day Write Up: Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart, to honour them BVRTSE celebrated Grandparents Day on 25th August 2023. The grandparents and the grandchild came dressed in retro attire, they were welcomed with a special decorated photo frame and a dance performed by the children. The celebration continued with fun Tambola and Drum Circle with all. It was a pleasure to see the grandchildren enjoy a scrumptious meal with their grandparents as they bonded and created special memories.

Stranger Danger Session

Stranger Danger Session: We want the child to be safe, but not anxious. Unless we talk to the children about “Stranger Danger,” it may be hard to know when to use caution vs. trust. "Stranger Danger" is not just about teaching children who or what to avoid, but also includes positive rules so that children know how to keep themselves safe from a stranger. "Stranger Danger" is something that always remains a concern for the parents as well as the children. Hence, an interactive session on ‘Stranger danger’ was conducted by Ms. Deepti Oak - School counsellor and Ms. Neha Sabade - Special Educator.

They created an awareness of:
* Who is a Stranger?
* Rules and safety tips for children which can be used to protect themselves from adult strangers
* Stranger Danger - Identifying the danger
* Dos and Don'ts - Nobody is allowed to touch you
* Good Stranger Concept
* Never accept chocolates or toys from stranger
* Call out loud , say NO and run away to the older person they trust.
* Not to open the door when alone at home
* Inform and tell an adult whom you trust immediately.

Literary week preprimary

Literary Week Preprimary: BVRTSE observed Literary Week with an array of activities through the week from July 24 to July 28. This week was to ignite and fuel new interest in reading, creative writing and create an interest for multilingual songs and stories. Our heartfelt gratitude to parent volunteers who came to narrate stories and sang songs with the students. Besides being entertained, the children learnt a lot of new words not only in English but local and foreign language too. They listened attentively to the stories and promptly volunteered answers to questions put to them! Students enacted short stories and songs for parents and played literacy games with them. This experience created awareness of the sounds of language, awareness of print, and the relationship between letters and sounds. They all went for a gallery walk to see the showcase of all stories done in school and by volunteers. It was indeed a wonderful way to Drop Everything And Read.

Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan: is a festival which is celebrated to show love and unity. On this auspicious day, brothers promise to safeguard their sisters from all evils. Our young and energetic learners of BVRTSE crafted beautiful Rakhi’s using different articles. Their artisanship was quite fascinating. The learners thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side. The Rakhi’s were displayed, and a gallery walk was held. These handmade rakhis that carried warmth and love were then tied to our Principal ma’am, school staff and helpers who work tirelessly to keep our school environment vibrant. The Rakhi celebration ended by making a beautifully decorated card and handmade rakhis for Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam, Secretary, Bharati Vidyapeeth thanking him for his support and care.

Patriotic Week

Patriotic Week Patriotism is the feeling and a sense of responsibility towards the betterment of the country and a desire to help the nation develop and succeed on all fronts. We at BVRTSE welcomed our learners to an exciting week of patriotism and learning with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm. Our learners painted the Indian flags with eraser imprints, drew and explained the National symbols, sketched the majestic Taj Mahal and a portrait of charismatic Mahatma Gandhi. The highlight was the Tri colour Tulip flower badge wherein learners crafted beautiful badges symbolizing unity and diversity in our wonderful nation. Dance is the hidden language of the soul. It rejuvenates your soul and all your senses. An Inter-Class Dance Competition was organized for each grade. The air became alive as the dancers, clad in vibrant and flashy accoutrement, whirled and twirled to the rhythmic beats of melodious, peppy numbers. It was a challenge for the judges to pick out the winners. It was indeed an inspiring event designed to instill a sense of patriotism, unity, and love for our country. It not only highlighted the creative abilities of our learners but also reinforced the importance of patriotism and cultural appreciation.

Literary week

“There are many little ways to enlarge your world and the love of books is the best of all.” BVRTSE Primary learners were taken into the magical world of books in their literary week. Beginning with the meaning of 'literary' to exploring different activities, the students experienced 5 days of diverse learning. They cherished reading their favourite books with their classmates on DEAR Day - “Drop Everything And Read”. On the next day, a character parade was conducted where the learners met the British author J.K. Rowling, Sudha Murthy, Dora and Matilda. The ‘’Character Parade’ incorporating Role Play by our teachers tickled students’ funny bones and they learnt more about the authors and characters' lives. This was followed by a book cover designing session of one of their favourite books using their own creativity.

The week culminated with interesting show and tell competition, poem recitation competition, and a story writing competition where the learners had to write the beginning or an ending of a given story using their imagination. The sky is the limit for the little inquisitive minds and hearts and to quench the thirst of literature, the children took all the spectators into the land of fictional characters wherein they showcased different characters in their own creative ways and spoke about the same. The Literary Week at Lower Secondary was a week-long celebration of literature, language, and the art of storytelling. To encourage creativity and skill development, short story writing competition was conducted. This session offered practical tips to improve writing techniques. Choral recitation was also conducted, celebrating the power of spoken word and poetic expression. On the final day, the learners dressed up as their favourite character from their favourite novel, and a session on ‘Book Talk’ was also organised where renowned author Ms. Rashmi Abhisheki was invited to share her experiences, insights, and inspirations with our learners. This session provided an excellent opportunity for aspiring writers to learn from established literary figure like her and gain valuable advice on the craft of writing. The event aimed to promote the love for literature, foster creative expression, and bring together book enthusiasts, writers, and readers from various backgrounds.

Friendship Day

'One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and be understood.' True friendship knows no boundaries of age, gender or culture. It brings people together and strengthens the ties that bind us. Friendship Day is a day to express gratitude, love and appreciation for our friends, who support us through thick and thin. Little friends of BVRTSE had celebrated the friendship day in a special way. The day began with a creative and heartwarming activity - friendship bracelet making! Each child chose colourful ribbons, markers and differently shaped mirrors to create unique bracelets for their friends. They exchanged these handmade tokens of love, promising to wear them as a symbol of their cherished friendship. During their break time, they also visited different sections to meet their friends and show their love for each other. They have created beautiful memories together on this special day! Students received sticky notes to articulate their feelings for their besties, designed cards by drawing a special trait of their friend and wrote heart touching messages for their friends. The vibrant colors and artistic touches to their cards left a lasting impression on our hearts. It is a day to cherish and honor wonderful friends who fill our lives with love, laughter and support. As we celebrated Friendship Day, let's take a moment to appreciate the unique qualities of each child, for they all bring something special into our lives.
